We hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! We started the day off with friends in our neighborhood up at the Village Green where they had set up a bounce house for the kids but we quickly headed on to the big pool due to the heat. It was just too hot to be anywhere but in the water! Friends invited us out on their boat to watch the fireworks in the evening and we took a fun boat ride up the river to the Jacksonville Landing where we had an awesome view of the fireworks from the river. It's the first time that the kids can remember seeing the fireworks from a boat and everything about it was fantastic!
Piper celebrated her first 4th of July this year. While she was as cute as she could be in her star necklaces, I don't think that this will prove to be her favorite holiday. She's not too fond of loud noises so this wasn't a great night for her.
